After the hut was struck with lightning and structural and electrical components were damaged, we were engaged to install a lightning protection system and replace damage off grid system. The remote location meant a lots of preperation and planning prior to sitework, and a helicopter was needed to transport personnel and materials to site. After a successful install, the weather turned for the worse meaning the helicopter was no longer an option, so the team had to pack up and walk out via the Gentle Annie track.
